Justyna Fiałkowska
Engineering Manager / Technical Project Manager
Mentor
I started my journey with management during Computer Science studies at the Gdansk University of Technology. While studying, I organized various tech and non-tech conferences (beIT, New Trends in Project Management, Infoshare, etc.). Additionally, I joined Project Management Institute, where I confirmed my conviction that the project management path is the path I would like to pursue. While working as TPM in Intel, I collaborated with globally distributed teams on various projects ensuring continuous delivery through all phases of the project lifecycle. Later on, I decided to develop my skills even further to lead and serve the team by supporting team members and focusing on their superpowers. Everyone being different is what is really beautiful. All of that would be much more difficult to achieve if not for the abundance of support I received from the incredible people and mentors I encountered on my way, therefore I would like to give back and help others.
My motto is a quote of Marcus Aurelius: “The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” In keeping with that thought, I’m doing my best to embrace adaptability to tackle adversities and inspire others to do the same, as change always starts within. I strongly believe that this statement and philosophy are particularly important to take into consideration while working and living in today's VUCA world in order to success.
Privately, I enjoy dancing, traveling, and broadening my horizons. Recently I challenged myself to learn Spanish. I’m also addicted to reading books and buying them in considerable amounts.
I am looking forward to collaborating with you, and I’m happy to connect.
