Joanna Sułkowska obtained her Ph.D. at the Polish Academy of Science (PAS) and her habilitation in chemistry at the University of Warsaw (UW). She is a professor at the University of Warsaw and the leader of an Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Biological Systems Modelling at the Centre of New Technologies (UW).
In her work, she combines knowledge and methods from several STEM disciplines. Her research focuses on application and development of AI methods to proteins and drug design.
