Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak has been the Director of the Office for Clear Air and Climate Policy of the Capital City of Warsaw since 1 June 2022.
Jan 2020 - May 2022 she headed the Department for Energy and Climate Change at the Lewiatan Confederation, and was a member of energy and climate working groups at BusinessEurope as well as of the Economic Policy and Labour Market Group at the Societal Dialogue Council. She supported private business in their strategic and regulatory challenges related to European Green Deal.
Dorota has a varied experience in environmental protection, climate change and energy.
At Poland's Ministry for the Environment she had been responsible, among other areas, for shaping its climate policy and international cooperation under Climate Convention. At the WWF Polska Foundation she had been responsible for environmental policy lobbying and communication. As Deputy CEO of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Policies she had managed programmes supporting energy efficiency projects, renewable energy and clean air. As a director at PwC Advisory she had specialised in funding from international financing institutions.
